Nissan introduced the 3 liters ZD30 GU Patrol in early 2000's to replace the 2.8 liters RD28 Patrol. The turbocharger is also changed from the GT1752S non-VNT turbo to the GT2052V VNT turbocharger. 

One of the most common issues for the Nissan GU Patrol ZD30 origional Garret GT2052V turbocharger is over-boosting. It could eventually cause damage to the engine.
